NIPER-JEE

NIPER JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION –
Test is a multiple-choice admission test For admission to M.S. (Pharm.); M.Pharm.; M.Tech. (Pharm.); M.B.A. (Pharm.) conducted by National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) at S.A.S Nagar (Mohali). This center has been created as Centre of Excellence in imparting higher education, research and development in pharmaceutical sciences and is the first Institute of its kind in India. Government of India declared this Institute as a National Importance through an Act of Parliament, notified on 26th June 1998. The Institute is a member of the Association of Indian Universities and Association of Common wealth Universities.
In the year 2007 Government of India established four more NIPERs at the following locations with the help of mentor Institutes:-
  • Ahmedabad [Mentor Institute- B. V. Patel Pharmaceutical Education and Research Development (PERD) Centre],
  • Hyderabad (Mentor Institute- Indian Institute of Chemical Technology)
  • Kolkata (Mentor Institute- Indian Institute of Chemical Biology) and
  • Hajipur (Mentor Institute- Rajendra Memorial Research Institute of Medical Sciences)

Drug inspector:

Exam is conducted by central as well as state Gov. of India according to vacancy in various states, and central departments.

Qualifications :

Essential :
  • Educational : Degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences or Medicine with specialization in Clinical Pharmacology  from a recognized University or equivalent. Pharmacy degree obtained must be from PCI approved college and candidate be registered with state or central pharmacy council.
  • Experience : 3 years’ experience in the manufacture or testing of Biological and special products specified in Schedule ‘C’ and ‘C’(1) to the Drugs & Cosmetics Rules, 1945.
  • Postings at – HQ : Central Drugs Standard Control Organizations (CDSCO) Headquarters, Zonal / Sub-Zonal / Port Offices etc. but liable to serve anywhere in India.

GRE

The Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) General Test is a multiple-choice admission test for applicants to graduate schools. The test is administered by the Educational Testing Service (ETS), under the sponsorship of the Graduate Record Examinations Board. The GRE is a computer-adaptive test (CAT), and consists of three scored sections. Students who are Graduate in the field pharmacy also eligible for this test for their higher study at abroad for MS (Pharm)

NAPLEX

The NAPLEX (North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination,) is a exclusively computer-administered standard exam created by the National Association of Board of Pharmacy (NABP) to help individual state boards of pharmacy assess an individual’s competency and knowledge so that he or she may be given a license to practice.
EXAM STRUCTURE
The exam consists of 185 questions and has a time limit of four hours and fifteen minutes, with an optional ten-minute break after approximately two hours. Of the185 questions, only 150 are used to tabulate the applicant’s score. The remaining 35 are trial balloon” questions under consideration for inclusion on future NAPLEX tests.
RESULT
Result of Exam will be display on the website of the state Board of Pharmacy after two business days of administration. A score of 75 or higher is required for passing.
